Olga Iossa's Fragrant Love Journey
My feet make their way on smooth black stones, the sea laps my ankles. I close my eyes, I stop and let myself be enveloped by the energetic breeze of an ancient wind.
As if by a sudden wave, my nostrils are submerged by the scents of a living island that mutters or whispers from its incandescent mouth.
Stromboli calls me to itself and my desire to gratefully dedicate an acknowledgement, a tribute to all the Aeolian Islands is born.
EolieParfums
Mine is a journey scented with love, which starts from an island and lands in an entire archipelago.
An inner journey that began in the Seventies, when, as a twenty-year-old Neapolitan, independent and strong-willed, wild and compliant, I arrived in Stromboli for the first time and understood that those volcanic lands, inhabited by myth and a unique bouquet of colors and scents, would become part of my life.
The Scent of the Aeolian Islands
This is my silent tale of the Seven Sisters.
This is my scented dedication to the daughters of Aeolus.
In these pages, which I invite you to imagine as sails unfurled in the Mediterranean, I will take you with me on a journey of the senses among the citrus fruits of Sicily, the flowers, the sulfur, the pumice, the spices and the green of the Mediterranean scrub.
The Aeolian Islands, perfumes and art
In my continuous travels to the Aeolian Islands I have crossed paths and met travelers, hikers, writers, artists, musicians and many other people who have become passionate about my fragrant project of love. Many of them have joined my journey becoming an integral part of it.
Encounters and suggestions, characters and sensations that you will discover in this travel notebook written by them who, like me, were attracted by the Aeolian Islands and carry them in their hearts.
A Feminine Company
When we cross the threshold of the magical world of EolieParfums, Pasquale, Francesco, Gix and I, a perfumed aura envelops us in a sort of fascination.
To our left, Enza gets up from her desk and comes to do the honors.
